1. About Sweeppot
Sweeppot is a software platform that enables individuals (“organisers”) to create and run their own sweepstake pools tied to football and other sporting tournaments. Sweeppot does not create, run, or participate in any pool. Each pool, whether private or public, is created, configured, and conducted by its organiser. Sweeppot provides the technology, contribution collection, and payout release as a service to the organiser, but the decision to run a pool, set its terms, invite or admit participants, and operate the sweep rests entirely with the organiser.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Sweeppot. Sweeppot collects your full legal name, a display name (shown to other participants in your pools, does not need to match your legal name), email address, and date of birth at signup. Sweeppot reserves the right to close accounts where age or identity cannot be reasonably confirmed. Sweeppot is intended for use by Australian residents. Sweeppot does not restrict access based on location, and participants from other countries may join and contribute to pools, but Sweeppot does not market or promote its services outside Australia.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. One account per person.
4. Pools
Each sweepstake is called a pool, created and conducted by the organiser who sets it up. A pool may be:
- Private — joinable only via a unique invite link or code shared by the organiser.
- Public — additionally listed and browseable in Sweeppot's public directory on the Sweeppot website, joinable by anyone who finds it there, in addition to invite link/code. Public pools are planned but not yet available, currently all pools are private.
In both cases, the organiser sets the competition, pool size, contribution amount, and visibility, and is the party conducting the pool. A minimum of 2 players must join a pool before a draw can take place.
Running a private pool between people you know is a well-established, informal activity that is not restricted under Australian law. By creating a pool, you confirm you are setting it up and running it yourself. If you invite or admit participants outside Australia, please note that Sweeppot cannot confirm or guarantee that running or joining a pool is treated the same way under the laws of every country — that is your and your participants' responsibility to consider.
5. The Draw
Teams, entrants, or competitors (depending on the competition) are assigned randomly and fairly using the pool's configured method. Once an assignment is made it is final — the server rejects repeat spin attempts. The organiser may manually trigger the draw once the minimum player count and payment conditions are met. If the organiser does not do so, the draw occurs automatically once the pool fills or its deadline passes, whichever comes first, as a convenience so the organiser's pool does not stall. Once a participant reveals their own assignment, they can then view the full list of all participants' assignments.
6. Contributions and Payments
Contributions are denominated in AUD. Payments are processed securely via our payment processor. A Sweeppot service fee of 10% is charged on top of the organiser's chosen contribution amount at the time of payment, as a separate, clearly itemised charge (for example, a $10 contribution is charged as $11 total: $10 contribution plus $1 service fee). The full contribution amount forms the pot and is paid entirely to the winner, untouched by the service fee. Contributions are held securely until the pool's draw conditions are met, and released to the winner once the result is confirmed. Free pools ($0 entry) are supported — no money changes hands in free pools and no fee applies.
7. Accuracy of Information
By creating an account, you confirm that the information you have provided (including your full legal name, display name, email address, and date of birth) is true and correct.
8. Payouts
The winner is the participant holding the winning team, entrant, or competitor, as applicable to the tournament. Payment release occurs once the result is confirmed, processed by our payment processor as part of the platform's service to the organiser's pool.
9. Prohibited Use
You may not create multiple accounts, manipulate draws, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability
Sweeppot is not responsible for delays or failures caused by third-party services, including our payment processor or sports data providers. We are not liable for losses arising from tournament cancellations, postponements, or rule changes by governing bodies.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Sweeppot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Fairness & Randomness
Sweeppot does not set odds. Every participant has an equal and fair chance of receiving any team, entrant, or competitor. Assignment is performed using cryptographically secure randomness. The outcome cannot be predicted, influenced, or repeated. Draw results become visible to all participants once each has individually revealed their own assignment.
14. Platform Role
Sweeppot is a software provider, not a gambling operator and not the organiser of any pool, public or private. Sweeppot does not create, run, or take a position on the outcome of any pool. Sweeppot's fee is a fixed charge for the use of its software and services, and is not tied to or contingent on any particular result. Each pool, whether shared privately or listed publicly, is conducted by its organiser using Sweeppot's platform as a tool.
