How many teams are in the NRL?

The NRL Premiership has 17 teams, making it one of the few top-tier rugby league competitions with an odd number of clubs. All 17 are pre-loaded in the Teams panel so you can start your draw immediately.

When does the NRL season run?

The regular season runs from March to September, followed by the finals series in September and October. The NRL Grand Final is held in October, typically at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

How does an NRL sweepstake work?

Each person in your group is randomly assigned one or more NRL clubs before the season or finals series begins. Whoever drew the team that wins the Grand Final takes the prize pot. With 17 teams and an uneven number, groups of 17 get one team each. Smaller groups draw multiple clubs per person, and this generator handles uneven splits automatically.
